Dear World,

Forgive me if we no longer care about what you say.

My partner is from Buenos Aires while I was born in Northern Italy.
Mexico gently adopted us about a decade ago, and since then we have been tasting the spicy flavours of this land.

We have been at home already for two months now, as we believe this is the right thing to do in the middle of a pandemic.
Confinement is a struggle and not a day goes by that we don’t think about the health of our families far away. We feel anxious and disoriented.

We are trying to grasp what happens but, honestly, we are just not getting what’s happening.
The revenge of nature. The divine punishment for abortion or homosexuality. Detergent injections and amulets as cure or as prevention. Secret chips inside our body. Chinese doctors whose skin became black after contracting the disease. By now, we’ve heard it all.

Forgive me if we no longer care about what you say.

Sincerely,

Confused
