Dear World,

"Learning how to face our fears is one way we embrace love. Our fear may not go away, but it will not stand in the way.”

To bring me through the challenging days of the past two months I picked up Bell Hooks’ book, All About Love. In it she explains that "Learning how to face our fears is one way we embrace love. Our fear may not go away, but it will not stand in the way.”

When everything is changing so fast, it can be easy succumb to fear. As a creative, I know that fear can cause mental blocks, which can spiral into full-on mental breakdowns. During quarantine, it has helped to rest. To sit in the moment and allow my most aligned self to reconnect with my body. Developing love for my body, mind, and soul has helped me overcome fear. When I stop to give my body what it needs, creativity flows in such abundance, fear falls away and love returns. While COVID has physically forced us into isolation, creativity can’t be quarantined. It is the life giving force that keeps me going on the darkest days and kindly reminds my deepest fears to step aside and make room for love.

Sincerely,

Love Returns
